Social activities

Please see our calendar for details of when and where these activities take place.

Lunch Club

Our Lunch Club typically meets on the fourth Thursday of every month and is a great new community opportunity for anyone over 50 to meet and chat.

Come by yourself or bring friends and enjoy a hot lunch from the restaurant menu followed by tea or coffee - all for just £5!

See our Featured Events page for more details.

Barn Dance

Our annual Barn Dance in the spring is always very popular.

We have a great band and caller who come over from Reading each year:

The Scamping Rogues are great musicians who play authentic instruments.

We provide a ploughman’s supper and people are invited to bring their own drinks.

It is a great opportunity for the church to join with members of the community to have fun together.

There is no charge for the evening - but you do need a ticket.

You are welcome to make a donation on the evening towards Yeldall Manor drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre.

Our next Barn Dance will be advertised in the news section of this website.

Sunday Fun Days

Fun, Food, Friends - Family.

That’s what we mean by a Sunday Fun Day.

We start with an All Age Celebration in the morning and then stay on until about 4 pm.

There is always plenty to eat as well as loads of games and competitions.

If you prefer to sit and chat - that is possible too.

Our Sunday Fun Days are a great expression of our Church family.

Whatever our age - they give us an opportunity to relax, have fun, and get to know each other.

Off Road - Walking Group

Do you love our local countryside?

Do you love to get out into the fresh air?

Do you love exploring new places - without having to do the planning yourself?

Can you cope with a little bit of mud?

Then join us on one of our monthly off road walks.

The walks average about 4 miles and take under 2 hours.

We meet at 9.45 am in a designated car park - details and directions are available before each walk.

Last Orders

Some people reckon that men don’t communicate well with each other.

Our experience is that given the opportunity, we men love to have a chat.

We meet once a month, in a public place, where everyone feels comfortable - often in a pub.

Everyone is responsible - and it’s not about the food or drink.

It is a great opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

All men are welcome - even if you do not come to our church.
